Some things are just meant to be. Ali and Connor first dated all the way back in the 9th grade. It was the first relationship either of them had ever had. But, they broke up when Connor moved away. And even though the both moved on, Connor would still talk about Ali often. Then, three years ago, Connor moved back to Jefferson City and as luck would have it, Ali was his best friend’s roommate. Ali and Connor renewed their friendship and after a year and half they started dating again and the rest is history. As Ali told me, they both knew right away they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.
They made it official this weekend with a pretty winter wedding At Capital West Christian Church here in Jefferson City. I was so excited to be a part of their big day! Ali and Connor are not only perfect for each other, they also have an amazing group of family and friends who worked so hard to help them plan their wedding. Both of their families were so warm and welcoming, they’re the type of people who make you instantly feel like part of the family.
There were so many special touches in the details of this wedding. From the piece of Ali’s mother’s wedding dress she gave Ali to walk down the aisle with, to the family heirloom jewelry Ali wore from Connor’s mother, and the scraps of fabric added to Connor’s boutonniere by his mother, there were so many reminders of the family and loved ones that surround them.
Ali and Connor, congratulations on your marriage! I am so happy for you, I cannot wait to see what the future hold for both of you! Here’s to many happy years ahead!
